To the idiots who criticize the redux due to its "irrelevant scenes," you might have obviously never read Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, what is the best this film was based. The Redux sort of Apocalypse Now brings the film to its original vision. This is a disjointed story, and it's not a war story. The Vietnam War would be the setting because of this journey into insanity, or even coin Conrad, in the heart of darkness of each man. The "irrelevant scenes" are intentionally senseless, especially the otherworldly French farm from the middle of occupied territory, making the journey all-the-more terrifying. Ignore the irrelevant, dissenting voices on iTunes. Read Heart of Darkness. And follow Willard in the river, but don't get out of the boat! ok this is the best old school movie out of them all...i agree y can't we buy it...i don't want to rent it!!!! Makes no difference if you are a baseball fan you aren't. Definitely incorporates a broad appeal with a human level. hmmm..where should i start with this place. im quite sure many people are aware of the main, "found footage - reality" horror style film which can be beat into your ground now and this film represents that severe shaky cam , running feet, night vision look again. the production is rather typical while using video camera being hand held and running without interruption they are under attack which makes me think how amazing their video cam batteries have to be, especially with a light attached to it which generally seems to never uses up battery with this film. The acting is actually good overall and also the story is decent having a scare happening every now and again. i wasn't overly impressed while using type of creature they chose because main "creature" and i also thought that happens to be a little more creatively done but altogether this was actually entertaining. The fx were congratulations in places so you do actually believe almost all of the acting performances. the leading girl holding the digital camera is probably the best of the bunch plus the ending was slightly predictable but fun. Overall i'd declare that this is definitely well worth the rental price but perhaps not to be purchased in my opinion. You should definitely give video look. Its fun! Sorry however i LOVE this movie. It became available when I was 9 and has now always been considered one of my favorites! Everytime I watch it' feel like a young child again. It is very simple, cute, and endearing. Nothing flashy - but it has a great message with a few laughs as you go along. Great movie, published by a great man who tragically passed away today :-(
